This conceptual sculptural sterling silver ring is part of the 'Six Memos for the Next Millennium' series. The rings are based on the book by Italo Calvino of the same name. This is ring number 3, based on Calvino's third chapter entitled 'Exactitude'.

This ring is exact as it is precise. It is minimal and sculptural. It has presence and strength. It is composed of sheets of sterling silver which have been cut by hand and meticulously soldered together. The hollowed domed silver piece that rests on the top is patinated on the inside to give the silver a blackness and depth. The dome represents time, the passing of which is precise and exact. The domed portion of the ring has been given a light satin finish whilst the rest of the ring has a bright polished finish.

For rings UK size H -P the overall height of the ring is 4.2cm. It has a maximum width of 2.5cm which is the diameter of the top curved section. As the ring size increases beyond a size P, the overall height of the ring will also increase slightly.

The width of the ring band tapers from 0.5cm to 0.8cm. Please bear this in mind when measuring your ring size. As a general rule, as a ring band increases in width, your ring size will also increase.
