These hydrangea flower stud earrings are made from sterling silver and use real dried hydrangea petals to make each pair.

Each hydrangea flower stud earring is approximately 1.5cm in diameter. The earrings are hand-fabricated using silver which has been imprinted with the texture of dried hydrangea petals. No two pairs of these earrings will be exactly the same because every petal is unique.

The earrings are secured at the back with a sterling silver butterfly fitting.

These earrings are from the Secret Garden collection which looks at how we can sometimes transform fragility into strength.

Hydrangea petals look incredibly fragile but they are in fact amazingly strong. I use petals that have dried out in the autumn and winter months. I never get tired of the way these petals imprint into heat-treated silver leaving behind an incredibly detailed texture.
