June Desktop

After the last ponderous post it seemed a natural choice to pick this little pebble ring for the June desktop image.  It is one of the first pieces I made for the Etsy shop.  I am reliably informed that it has been in no fewer than 26 Etsy treasuries and has made it to the front page of Etsy.  Maybe you would like it to be featured on your computer screen?

If you do then all you have to do is click on the image above or below, save it to your desktop and then use your settings menu (or equivalent) to change your background desktop image.  Incase you have a screen that is a little smaller than 1600 pixels wide,  here is the 1280 pixel version.

I rather pleased with the way the numbers for this month make a neat little block.  Other things I'm rather pleased with at the moment include:

:: the way the wind sounds when it blows through the wheat fields that line the route I take on my bike to get into the next village.  It sounds like a bolt of silk falling from a cutting table, but without the jarring crash, bang, wallop bit at the end.  Instead just a constant stream of falling fabric.

:: the alliums, lupins and snap dragon flowers that have popped up in my front garden.

:: finding new songs to listen to as I work in the atelier like this one by The Lumineers and this one by Little Scream.

:: the same wheat fields showing the impression of the wind as it gently creates little pools of compressed fronds that refract the light in a shifting shimmering way and move across the top surface like mercury.

What things are pleasing you in your corner of the world?
