How to make an ice wreath.

When the temperature begins to drop in the evening I get my mixing bowls out and get busy making 'jewellery' on another scale.  'Jewellery' for  the outside walls of the Hybrid Handmade atelier.

The stone stops the air inside the cup escaping when you add the water so that you end up with a hole.  I use a cup with sloped sides as I think it might help with its removal once the ice has formed.  After the water in step 3 has begun to freeze I often add a bit more water to fully encapsulate the leaves.



They look just as beautiful when they begin to melt.
