Something Different Sunday - The Sketchbook Project 2011, the sequel

Here we have another installment in this little unfolding story, picking up from where we left off here. If you want to see what happened to the little girl on her first adventure - head on over to the Art House Co-op website.

The Sketchbook Project 2011, the sequel, pages 10 and 11, Cari-Jane Hakes
Layers of sleep began to fall and fold in around her.  First the fell on her eyes which closed softly under their weight.  Then the layers settled in round her body, tucking in around her arms and then under her legs.

I used an old bubble picture for the background - I made it with my first son when he was very small.  You mix liquid paint with washing up liquid and some water.  Mix mix mix in a bowl and then get a straw and blow into the mixture until it bubbles up out of the bowl.  Then take a sheet of paper and press it down onto the bubbles.  Be advised though, it's probably not a good idea to get your child helper to do the straw bit.  They have a habit of sucking up the soapy contents!

Sign ups for next years Sketchbook Project 2012 have begun over on the Art House Co-op site.  They are currently re-building parts of the website and digitising over 10,000 sketchbooks from the Sketchbook Project 2011.  My one is in there somewhere!
